Protein Modeling: 2006 NJ Science Olympiad Results

2006 State Final

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the protein modeling trial event at the New Jersey Science Olympiad State Competition. In an extremely close competition, East Brunswick High School (First Place), The Lawrenceville School (Second Place), and Montgomery High School (Third Place) created very strong models.

Thanks to all teams and coaches who participated, including West Windsor-Plainsboro North (4), Princeton (5), Bergen County Academies (6), Montville Township (7), West Windsor-Plainsboro South (8), Freehold (9), Westfield (10), Eastern Regional (11), Princeton Day School (12), and Morristown (13).

The materials used in the judging of the event will be posted online after the protein modeling event at the Wisconsin State Olympiad on April 22, 2006. In the meantime, please email buildmodels@deposit.rcsb.org if you have any questions.

2006 Northern Regional

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the protein modeling trial event at the New Jersey Science Olympiad Northern Regional. All of the teams created great protein structures for the impound and onsite, with awards going to Montville Township High School (first place), Freehold High School (second place), and Alghazly High School (third place).
